The National MSME Awards is Nigeria’s flagship recognition platform for outstanding indigenous micro, small, and medium enterprises. Since its launch in 2018, it has grown into a week-long celebration aligned with International MSME Week, featuring clinics, exhibitions, plenary sessions, and a gala night. Winners have received impactful rewards ranging from cash prizes and cars to significant local and international media exposure.

  • Wellness, Beauty & Cosmetics – Businesses enhancing physical beauty and quality of life.
  • Leather Works – Craftsmanship in leather design.
  • Manufacturing – MSMEs contributing to Nigerian-made products.
  • Agriculture – Enterprises strengthening the agricultural value chain.
  • Persons Living with Disabilities – Outstanding businesses owned and operated by PWDs.

📋 Application Requirements

Applicants must provide:

  • Full name, MSME business name, and location.
  • Sex (Male/Female) and Date of Birth (minimum age 18).
  • A clear two-minute business overview video.
  • Compulsory documents: Active CAC Registration and Tax Identification Number.
  • Other relevant certificates: Tax Clearance, SON (MANCAP/Product ID), NAFDAC, SMEDAN, NEPC, ITF, etc.

Note: Prior award winners are not eligible.

  • Prizes have expanded from one car in 2018 to 10 cars across categories.
  • Winners also gain cash support, visibility, and media coverage to boost their business profile.

📅 Timeline

  • Annual event held in June during International MSME Week.
